Antenna Connection: SMA ports are connected to each ALPHA, BETA, and GAMMA antenna by bias-T
and RF cable. The user can control antennas through this port.
13. An installation of AICM and Antennas
This is an explanation for the installation of AICM and Antennas, and for the setting of operation environmnent. The
antenna type is a Hybrid 3Way.
1) Step 1
a. Connect a control cable(RG316) from the SMA port(α, β, and γ-MOT) on rear panel of AICM to the SMA
port on BIAS-T using control cables and BIAS-Ts enclosed. There is a label on each control cable, ALPHA,
BETA, and GAMMA. The BIAS-T is connected to the end point of the RF feeder cable. Antennas are
connected to the other end point of the RF feeder cable. Refer to Figure 1-1.
b. Supply an AC power to AICM, and then connect a RS-232C cable from the PC COM1 port to the Debug
port(Figure 12-1). Execute an AICM 1:1 interface program.
2) Step 2
a. Clicks the Read ID/Serial button of Figure 5-1. If there is no error in communication state, the Serial Number
information will be updated. If there is an error in communication state, check the cable connection state or
the Serial port setting of Figure 5-3.
b. Clicks the Get Device button of Figure 5-1. The device information will be updated.
c. Clicks the Get Status button of Figure 5-1. The status information will be updated.
d. Clicks the Input menu of Figure 6-1. The dialog-box shown in Figure 6-3 pops up. Check the ANT. Install
check box of Figure 6-4. Select a Hybrid 3Way antenna type, and then select a H3-X-PA-19-V2-00T model
or a H3-X-PA-17-V1-00T model.
e. Clicks the Set Device menu of Figure 6-2. The dialog-box shown in Figure 6-4 pops up. Input a BTS name,
AICM IP Address, Gateway, Subnetmask, and Server IP Address. The server means a PC to be installed the
NMS Application.
