Step 8.

Open up the LED panel from the bottom

, remove the 2 screws that secure the transform board

to the rear cover

, and then disconnect the 2 cables from the transform board.

Step 9.

Then separate the rear cover from the LED panel.

Step 10. To reattach the rear cover:

a.

Line up the LED panel with the rear cover, reconnect the LVDS1 and LVDS2 cables to the
transform board.

b.

Reattach the transform board, and secure it to the rear cover with the 2 screws.

c.

Line up the LED panel with mounting pins on the rear cover, and then slide it into position.

Step 11. Reattach the hinge to the chassis, and reconnect the touch and LED panel cables back to the

motherboard.

Step 12. Reattach the base cover and secure it with the screws.

Replacing the Transform board

Note: Turn off the computer and wait 3 to 5 minutes to let it cool down before removing the cover.

To replace the transform board

Step 1.

Remove any media (disks, CDs, DVDs, or memory cards) from the drives, shut down the operating
system, and turn off the computer and all attached devices.

Step 2.

Unplug all power cords from electrical outlets.

Step 3.

Disconnect all cables attached to the computer. This includes power cords, input/output (I/O)
cables, and any other cables that are connected to the computer. Refer to “Left and right view”
and “Rear view” for help with locating the various connectors.

Step 4.

Remove the base cover. Refer to “Removing the base cover”.

Step 5.

Remove the hinge from the chassis. Refer to “Removing the hinge from the chassis”.
