Adding Toner
This machine is equipped with a toner hopper (toner storage) for keeping toner of one toner bot-
tle.
When toner supply runs out from toner bottle and the toner in the toner hopper becomes low, the
message “Ready to copy/print Please add toner (K)” will appear on the MACHINE/COPY screen.
When the toner in the toner hopper runs out, the message “No toner Please add toner” will
appear.
Add toner according to the procedure as follows.
• Use the same number toner bottle as described on the label applied on the inside of
the toner unit door. Otherwise, machine trouble may occur.
• Wrap the used Toner Bottle with the cover that was attached to the new Toner Bot-
tle. Then put it in the packing box and return it to your service representative.
Warning
• Do not throw the toner bottle or toner into an open flame. The hot toner may scatter
and cause burns or other damage.
Caution
• Do not leave toner-related parts (toner bottles or drum units) within easy reach of
children. Licking any of these parts or ingesting toner could damage your health.
