• When the misfeed of coated paper occurs, select [ON] from [Dryness Preparation] and
select [Auto] or [Compulsive ON] from [Fan Heater Control (Tray4 - 9)].
• When you use Dehumidify Fan Heater, you can not output while dehumidification.
Air Assist Setting
The Air Assist function assists the paper feed by air blowing. Unstable paper feeding may be
improved by using this function. About the details of settings, refer to "Setting Air Assist" (p. 1-
40).
Curl Adjustment
The Curl Adjustment function reduces the paper curl and wave. This function may improve the
image quality and also the efficiency of paper feed.
The Curl Adjustment function can be set in multiple methods as follows:
• Set using [Curl Adjustment] on the MACHINE screen
• Set per paper on the Paper Set Reg./Del. screen displayed by pressing the [Utility/Counter]
on the control panel.
• Set per tray on the Change Individual Set screen.
• About the details of Curl Adjustment settings on the Change Individual Set screen, refer
to "Setting Curl Adjustment" (p. 1-28).
Humidifier Setting
The Humidifier function humidifies uniformly the both sides of the paper to correct the curl and
wave. This function can be set when Curl Adjustment is set.

"Setting Curl Adjustment" (p. 1-28).
• When the Relay Unit RU-508 is not installed, [Curl Adjustment] is not available.
• When the Humidifier Kit HM-101 is not installed to the Relay Unit RU-508, [Humidi-
fier Setting] is not available.
