Set Passwords to Define Access Levels

By default, the automatic logon feature of the print controller logs you on as an
IC-301 administrator, with unlimited privileges in this software. However, if you
want operators to have limited privileges, you need to deactivate the automatic
logon feature and create a password for each access level.

The IC-301 print controller supports three access levels:

Administrator: Enables you to access all the IC-301 print controller features and
change all the settings

Operator: Enables you to operate the IC-301 print controller and configure the
items in the Preferences window

Guest: Enables you to view the IC-301 print controller workspace and import a
job through an existing virtual printer. This level does not enable you to adjust
the settings of the IC-301 print controller.

In this activity, you will learn how to set a password and thus define an access level.
