Using This Guide
Guide Structure
This guide includes eight activities that provide you hands-on practice for a few
advanced IC-301 print controller workflow tasks.
This activity guide is mainly a self-study tool for new IC-301 print controller
operators and administrators to use. The guide can also be used in a hands-on
session during classroom or on-site training courses.
The guide is divided into
two modules, which are broken down into activities.

Preparation
Before you start the activities, it is recommended that you copy all the files in the
folder
Training/Activity_files/Advanced
on your CD to the folder
D:\Local Disk
, on
the
IC-301 print controller.
To copy the exercise files from your CD:
1.
On the IC-301 print controller, in the folder
D:\Local Disk
, create a new folder
and name it
IC301_Activities_2
.
2.
From your CD, copy all the files from the folder
Training/Activity_files/
Advanced
to the folder
IC301_Activities_2
on the server.
If you are working with European paper stock, follow these instructions for all the
activities in this guide:
•
Instead of tabloid-size paper, use A3.
Note: If you are participating in classroom training, your instructor may have already copied the
files and will tell you where you can find them.
