When using User Color Name in Colored Paper field, use JDF-based Paper Catalog. Choose
“Settings...” in the Paper Catalog window and then you can change the mode of Paper
Catalog.
Printer driver Job Presets in Fiery PS Driver Help
When you apply a Local Preset to a job, it becomes part of the job but the name of the preset
is not retained. When the Server Preset is applied to a job, it becomes part of the job, along
with the name of the Server Preset being used.
If “305x458mm” is specified in Microsoft Word 2010, “12x18” is
listed instead and applied to the printer driver
If you specify “305x458” as the page size in Microsoft Word 2010 for the printer, the print
server properties window displays “12x18” instead. Set “Output Paper Size” instead of
“Document Size”.
Finisher positions
The printer driver can not display correct finishers positions when ring binder is installed on
the left side of multi-folder.
Printer driver language issue (Mac OS)
On Mac OS, when you install the printer driver, the printer driver language may be different
than your operating system language. If this occurs, do the following to change the language
of the printer driver:
1 In the Fiery Printer Driver Installer, click Name or IP Address.
2 Select a language from the Driver Language drop-down list.
Units in the Booklet Maker wizard
For booklets, if the unit (for example, millimeters or inches) for 1-up Perfect is changed from
the printer driver, the change is reflected in the Booklet Maker wizard.
If the unit for Saddle, Perfect, or Nested Saddle is changed from the printer driver, the change
is not reflected in the Booklet Maker Wizard.
Printing Direct Connection limitations
The Direct connection is intended for downloading fonts and for use with test applications
that require back channel information from the Fiery server. If security is a concern, Direct
connection is not recommended for printing jobs because some jobs sent to the Direct
connection cause temporary files to be stored on the Fiery server. For full security, use Secure
Erase instead.
