4. Image

Mode:

From the pull-down list, select the scan mode corresponding to the type of
original.
Color ......................... Suitable for color documents.
Grayscale................... Suitable for black-and-white business documents.
Black and White........ Suitable for text or line art originals. Note, however,

“Black and White” can not be selected when
“TYPE” is set to “3D” under Document Setting.

NOTE:
Color:

Scans the image as 24-bit full-color data.

Grayscale:

Scans the image as 8-bit grayscale data.

Black and White: Scans the image as binary data.

5. Resolution:

Select the resolution of the image to be output from the pull-down list.
There are six selections: 600, 400, 360, 300, 240 and 200 (dpi).

6. Rotate:

Rotates the scanned image.
There are four angle selections: “Off”, “90 CW”, “90 CCW”, and “180”.

7. Preview:

Displays the dialog box used for preview scanning.
It is possible to scan just a specific area by first making a preview scan,
selecting the desired scan area, and then making the actual scan.
