For a USB connection

Note
USB is not supported on Windows NT 4.0.
USB is not supported by some printers and MFPs.

Use the USB cable to connect the printer or MFP to the computer.

Turn on the computer.

Turn on the printer or MFP.

When the wizard for adding new hardware starts up, click the [Cancel]
button.

Use the installer to install the printer driver, refer to “Installing the
Printer Driver” on page 4-1.

For a parallel connection

Use the USB cable to connect the printer or MFP to the computer.
