Using the touch screen

When shooting using live view, touch panel functions can be used.

Selecting a focusing method

You can focus and shoot by tapping the monitor.
Tap T to cycle through touch screen settings.

Touch screen operations disabled.

Tap a subject to focus and automatically
release the shutter. This function is not
available in n mode.

Tap to display an AF target and focus on the
subject in the selected area. You can use the
touch screen to choose the position and size of
the focus frame. Photographs can be taken by
pressing the shutter button.

Previewing Your Subject ( V )

Tap the subject in the display.

• An AF target will be displayed.
• Use the slider to choose the size of the frame.

Use the slider to choose the size of the target
frame, and then tap Y to zoom in on the
subject of the target frame.

• Use your fi nger to scroll the display when the picture

is zoomed in.

• Tap Z to cancel the zoom display.

Cautions

• When using a Four Thirds system lens, the range within which auto focus is possible

decreases. If you touch the screen outside of the possible range, the camera shoots
without using AF.

Using the wireless LAN function

You can connect the camera to a smartphone and
control the camera over Wi-Fi. To use this function, you
must have the relevant app installed on the smartphone.
