When the power switch is set to ON, the battery
check indication appears on the control panel.

Dust reduction function operation
The dust reduction function is automatically activated when the camera is turned on. Ultrasonic
vibrations are used to remove dust and dirt from the CCD surface.

Date/time setting
Images will be stored with date/time data.

Selecting a language
You can select the language for on-screen displays. This reference manual shows the English on-
screen displays in illustrations and explanations. Available languages vary depending on the area
where you purchased the camera.

The date/time information is used as the basis for assigning file numbers to recorded
images. Make sure the date/time setting is correct after setting the power switch to
ON .
