The optical drive that is used in this computer is equipped with a laser
device. A classification label with the following sentence is affixed to the
surface of the drive.

Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 89/336/EEC for the notebook and the electronic accessories

Voltage Directive 73/23/EEC for the supplied power adapter.
