Chapter 2

The Grand Tour

This chapter identifies the various components of your computer. Become

familiar with each component before you operate the computer.

Front with the display closed

The following figure shows the computer’s front with its display panel in the

closed position.

The speakers emit sound generated by your

software as well as audio alarms, such as low

battery condition, generated by the system.

Display Latch

This latch secures the LCD panel in its closed

position. Slide the latch to open the display.

Wireless

Communication

Button

Press to activate or deactivate the Wireless LAN

feature. (Not available on all models).

Set the button to off in airplanes and hospitals. Check the wireless activity

indicator. It will stop glowing when the wireless communication function is

off.
