Sharp’s pioneering Plasmacluster Technology is an
active air cleaning system that uses air ionisation to
eliminate the build up of airborne mould spores,
microbes and odours.
Originally invented to purify the air in our air purifiers,
it didn’t take long to realise it could also be used to
purify the internal atmosphere of our fridge-freezers.
The system works by automatically releasing positive
and negative ions into the fridge, where they break
down airborne mould spores, bacteria and odour
molecules. This process is completely natural and
mimics the way nature produces fresh air. The air then
passes through a special filter, which ensures that all
odours are completely eliminated.
Unlike traditional filtration systems, the Plasmacluster
Ion Generator does not lose its effectiveness and
