1. Introduction
This user manual will help you to install the remote control so that you can operate your TV and/or set-top
box (cable box, satellite receiver, Digital Video Broadcasting Terrestrial device or cable decoder).
Please read the instructions carefully.
2. Installing the remote control
Inserting the batteries

Press the cover inwards and lift it up.
2 Place two AAA type batteries into the battery compartment, as shown.
3 Replace the cover and click it firmly into place.
Testing the remote control
It is advisable to test whether your device (TV and/or STB) responds to the SRU 4002, because the
SRU 4002 may use different signals for each brand and even for different models of the same brand.
The example below (TV) instructs you how to do this.You can repeat the same steps for your settop box
(STB).
Note: After inserting the batteries, all keys will operate your TV. If you wish to test the remote control on your
settop box, you first have to program the remote control for operating the settop box. The STB keys will then
become available. For this, refer to ‘Setting the remote control’ hereafter.
