Speaker Phone

Lets you speak to the person
at the other end and dial tele-
phone and fax numbers with-
out lifting the handset.

Hold

Lets you put calls on hold.

Microphone

Picks up your voice when you
speak with another party using
speaker phone.

Redial / Pause

Redials the last number called.
Also inserts a pause in autodial
numbers.

Speed Dial

Lets you dial stored phone
numbers by pressing a two-
digit number.

Dial Pad

Dials phone and fax
numbers, and can be used as
a keyboard for entering infor-
mation into the FAX.

Shift

Use this key to access “13”
through “24” One Touch
keys.

(Left Arrow)
(Right Arrow)

Moves the LCD cursor to the
left or right.

Set

Stores a function setting into
the FAX.

Clear

Deletes entered data or backs up
one step in function procedure.

Copy

Makes a copy.

Stop

Stops a fax, cancels an opera-
tion, or exits from function
mode.

Start

Starts an operation, such as
sending a fax.

Sort

Use this key when you want
multiple copies of a multiple
page original copied in order.

Enlarge/Reduce

Use this key to enlarge or reduce
copies depending on the ratio
you select: 150%, 125%, 120%,
100%, 93%, 87%, 75% or 50%.
To reduce the image size au-
tomatically, select AUTO.

MSG CTR Status

Indicator lights remind you
that you have voice or fax mes-
sages in the memory.

Speaker Volume
Low

High

You can press to decrease or in-
crease speaker volume during a
call using Speaker Phone or
while playing a message.

One Touch Dial Keys

These twelve keys give you in-
stant access to previously
stored phone numbers.

Q. Scan

Lets you take advantage of
memory transmission.

Help

Prints a quick reference Help
List.

Mode

Resolution

Sets the resolution when you
send a fax or make a copy.

Function

Lets you access the function
and programming mode.

Tel-index

Lets you look up numbers stored in
the dialing memory.

Liquid Crystal Display

Play

Lets you listen to voice messages
and outgoing messages, and print
fax messages stored in memory.

Erase

Lets you delete voice messag-
es, fax messages or all mes-
sages.

Record

Lets you record Outgoing
Message (OGM), memos and
telephone calls, and store in-
formation for Message Center
Pro features.

LCD displays messages to help
you set up and operate your
FAX.

Use to select how FAX will handle
incoming calls.
