For Macintosh with USB

Problem Recommendation
The machine does not appear
in Printer Setup Utility (Mac
OS X 10.4.11) or Print & Fax in
System Preferences (Mac
OS X 10.5.x and 10.6.x).  Make sure the machine is powered on and that there are no error messages on
the LCD.
 Make sure that the USB interface cable is connected directly to the Macintosh
and that it is connected to the USB port of the machine.
 Make sure the printer driver is installed correctly.
Unable to print from the
application.  Make sure that the supplied Macintosh printer driver is installed in the Hard Disk
and that it is chosen with Printer Setup Utility (Mac OS X 10.4.11) or Print &
Fax in System Preferences (Mac OS X 10.5.x and 10.6.x).
Problem Recommendation
The print speed slows down. Add optional memory. (See Installing extra memory on page 86.)
The machine cannot print EPS
data that includes binary. You need the following settings to print EPS data:

Devices and Printers.

Hardware and Sound, and then Printers.

® XP and Windows Server ® 2003/2008: Click Start button,

2000: Click Start button, and select Settings and then
Printers.

HL-4570CDW (HL-4150CDN) Series icon and select Brother
