4.2.3
IFS Bolt Retained Axle Stubs
IFS assemblies retain one of the axle stubs with a long bolt through
the center of the shaft. This requires that a threaded thrust block be
installed into the side gear of the Air Locker.
c With the Air Locker positioned with the cylinder cap bolt heads
facing down, cut the cable ties and remove the flange cap from the
assembly.
c Remove the splined side gear from the assembly.
c Insert the threaded thrust block (ARB Part # 110401) through the
hole in the center of the spider block and into the spline of the side
gear. (Refer to Fig.7.)

c Using an aluminum or hard plastic drift, knock or press the thrust
block into the spline until it reaches its maximum depth. (Fig.8. & 9.)

c Re-assemble the side gear and the flange cap.
