m To hear sound from a video, you can connect external speakers that have an internal
amplifier to the display or to the VCR.
The video and audio connections are on the back of the display. Open the cover on the back
right side to access these ports.
The audio and video ports are as follows:
Connecting External Speakers
If you’re using the display to play a video or view television images, you need to connect
external speakers to the display or to your VCR in order to hear any sound. You must use
speakers that have an internal amplifier.
To connect speakers to the display, see the documentation that came with your speakers. For
information on connecting speakers to your VCR, see the documentation that came with the
VCR.
Note: The audio output port works only when the display is in video mode, not computer
mode.
