If you frequently use the Spelling window, you can add the Spelling button to the
Pages toolbar to make it available with a single click. To learn about customizing the
toolbar, see “The Toolbar” on page 22.
To turn the spell-checker off:
m Choose Edit > Spelling > Check Spelling as You Type to deselect it (make sure the
checkmark is not visible next to the menu command).
The misspelled word from the
document appears here. You can
retype it here to look for more
suggested spellings.
Select from the list of
suggested spellings.
You can correct or ignore
the mispelled word and
then find the next
misspelling, or retype the
word and click Guess for
a new list of suggestions.
Add or delete the
selected word from the
dictionary.
Choose Entire Document
if you want to spell-
check headers, footers,
and callouts, too.
Choose a different
language dictionary for a
selected word, if you
need to.
