To lock a clip in the Timeline, do one of the following:

Select the clip, then choose Clip > Lock Clip.

Control-click the clip in the Timeline, then choose Lock Clip from the shortcut menu.

Select the clip. In the Details tab, select the Locked checkbox.

To unlock a clip in the Timeline, do one of the following:

Select the clip, then choose Clip > Unlock Clip.

Control-click the clip in the Timeline, then choose Unlock Clip from the shortcut menu.

Select the clip. In the Details tab, select the Locked checkbox.

Locking Tracks

When an audio track is locked, the clips on the track cannot be moved, resized, or
otherwise modified in the Timeline. Clips and effects cannot be added to or removed
from a locked track. Effects and other parameters (such as pan, gain, and output) are
not editable on a locked track.

Choose Lock Clip from
the shortcut menu.
