Remove the PCI card from its static-proof bag.
Hold the card by its edges to avoid touching any of its connectors.

Insert the PCI card into the PCI slot.
Be sure to align any ports on the card with the port opening you uncovered
earlier. As you press the card firmly into the slot, you may find it helpful to
reach behind with your hand to support the riser card on which the PCI slot is
located. (Be careful to avoid the soldered pins on the back of the riser card as
they can be sharp.)

Slide your hand behind the PCI slots and support the slots with your hand
as you install the card. Support the slots with your hand in this area only
(shown tinted here) to avoid pressing against the
soldered pins on the back of the PCI slots.
