Inserting a USB flash drive

With a compatible USB flash drive connected to this scanner, you

can scan and store the scanned image files directly onto that drive

for increased file portability and convenience.

NOTE:

• The file system of the USB flash drive must be FAT16 or FAT32.
• Memory card readers, portable disks, portable hard disk drives

and portable hybrid storage (HD + SSD) devices that require

external power may not be fully supported.

6. To safely disconnect the scanner from the computer:

For Windows users:
a. On Windows System Tray, click the hardware removal icon as

indicated below.

b. Click to select the Safely remove USB Mass Storage Device

option that appears.

c. When the following message displays on-screen, you can

safely remove your hard disk.

d. Unplug the scanner from your computer.
For Mac users:
a. Click and drag the Volume icon to the Trash.
b. Disconnect the scanner from your computer.

socket on the scanner.
