7 Commissioning
Complete system
Please observe the commissioning rules of the swivel module DSM and swivel
drive DSR in the respective operating instructions.
Individual unit
Make sure that:
S nobody can place his/her hand in the
swivel range of the moveable mass
S no foreign objects can enter the swivel
area of the moveable mass, such as by
using a protective grating.
Make sure that, when using external stops and
shock absorbers, the following stipulations are
observed:
S point of impact in the mass centre of grav-
ity S, in particular for eccentric masses on
the lever arm,
S max. permissible striking force F
X,
S min. striking radius r
min (chapter 13).
Always observe the maximum permissible striking forces (chapter 13).
The resulting striking forces F X are composed of:
1. mass moment of inertia of the moveable mass on the output-drive shaft,
2. torque of the swivel drive/module (chapter 13),
3. dampening ability of the stop.
The mass moment of inertia of the moveable mass and the dampening ability of
the stop must be calculated before working loads are fastened.
