11.0 SEALING AT TERMINATIONS – CANTILEVERS
Install GreenGuard® Butyl Flashing to seal at the intersection between the
cantilever and the wall as shown. Then install building wrap so that it overlaps the
flashing and seal with tape.
12.0 SEALING AT TERMINATIONS –
CONCRETE COLUMNS
Option 1
Install building wrap around the concrete column as shown.
Attach the building wrap using the applicable fasteners as
described in Section 4.0 of this Guide.
Option 2
Apply a primer to the concrete in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions
(see Section 17.0 of this Guide for information regarding primer products). Cut
the building wrap near the edge of the concrete column, leaving about 2 inches
overlapping the column. Fasten the building wrap to the wall as described in Section
6.0 of this Guide. Use GreenGuard® Butyl Flashing to seal building wrap to the
concrete column as shown.
10.0 SEALING AT TERMINATIONS –
SHELF ANGLES
Install through-wall flashing first over the top of the shelf angle. The building wrap
should overlap the through-wall flashing a minimum of 6 inches. Seal the building wrap
to the through-wall flashing using GreenGuard® Custom Seam Tape or Flashing. Seal
the building wrap to the underside of the shelf angle using GreenGuard® Custom Seam
Tape or Flashing.
