Warnings!
Conditions of Acceptability:
ƒ These devices are only intended to be used as an integral part of
power conversion equipment (UL508C applications).
ƒ They shall be mounted on an appropriate surface (in order to
maintain enclosure rating type 1).
ƒ The terminals "Terminal block" (RB1/RB2) and "Terminal Block"
(T1/T2) have been evaluated for field wiring.
ƒ No performance tests (e.g. temperature, dielectric strength and
abnormal operation tests) have been performed.
Since these devices are intended to be used as an integral part of
power conversion equipment (UL508C applications) only, the
performance tests for these devices shall be carried out in
accordance with the requirements in the standard for Power
Conversion Equipment UL508C.
Tests shall be based on the duty cycle indicated and determined
by the end−use application.
Following UL508C tests shall be considered:
– Temperaturetests
– Dielectric strength tests
– Breakdown of component tests (e.g. failure of the control
circuitry to maintain the proper duty cycle)
ƒ Settings and suitability of thermal protectors and thermal
overload relays have not been evaluated. The need for additional
tests shall be reconsidered in the end−use application.
