Remove all packing materials and labels from range. Remove packing materi-
als from inside the oven and inside the drawer.

While cool, wipe with a clean, damp sponge and dry.

Apply the glass ceramic cooktop cleaner to the glass ceramic cooktop. Buff
with a clean cloth. See Care and Cleaning Section.

There may be a slight odor during first uses; this is normal and will disappear.

Optimum cooking results depend on proper cookware being used.

The cooking surface will hold the heat and remain hot up to 30 minutes after
the elements have been turned off.

mation prior to operating.

About the Cooktop

Use the cooktop for surface cooking applications such as boiling, frying, simmer-
ing, steaming and sauteing.

Operation

CAUTION

Foods packaged in aluminum foil should not be placed directly on
the glass ceramic surface for cooking. Aluminum foil can melt and
cause permanent damage.

Plastic, paper and cloth can melt or burn when in contact with a
hot surface. Do not let these items come in contact with the hot
glass ceramic surface.

Do not allow pans to boil dry. This can permanently damage the
pan, the element and the cooktop glass.

Operation with the Mag-
netic Dial

Setting the Element Heat Level

1. Place pan on element.
2. Press element touchpad for desired element. Display shows a 0.
3. Turn the magnetic dial until the desired heat setting is displayed. When the

number stops flashing, the element is set.

Selecting the Number of Element

Rings

1. Set the element heat level. The element defaults to the highest number of

rings available.

2. Press element touchpad.
3. Press the pot sizing touch pad.
4. Continue to press pot sizing touchpad until desired number of rings is

selected.

= two rings;

= three rings.
