4. To remove the gearbox, the steering wheel shafts have to be disconnected. This is done on top of
the car. There is a pinch bolt that connects the shaft to the steering gearbox. The bolt is a 12-point
bolt head. Loosen the pinch bolt and proceed to the gearbox. To remove the gearbox there are four
bolts. Remove three bolts and while removing the fourth one support the gearbox.
5. Once the gearbox is removed, the steering shaft can be removed. Remove the coupler at the top of
the column. Loosen the nut then the stock shaft can be removed.
