Preparation

Keep compound at room temperature for 24 hrs. Use directly from container. Stir contents lightly if separated.
Maintain minimum air, joint compound and surface temperature of 55 °F (13 °C) within working area until joints
are completely dry.

Application

For interior use only. Apply over dry surfaces only and allow each coat to dry before applying another coat.

To repair a dent

1. Sand and fill with patching compound.
2. Let dry. Add second coat if necessary.
3. Sand and prime when dry.

To patch a small

1. Wipe area clean. Fill with patching compound, using knife.

3. Sand and prime when dry.

To repair a

1. Drive and dimple new nail 1-1/2

1. Peel and remove loose face paper.

2. Using knife, apply a skim coat of patching compound to damaged area and feather.

3. Sand and prime when dry.

To patch a

1. Apply generous amount of patching compound around edges and coat the perimeter of the hole.

2. Crisscross two or three strips of paper joint tape over opening and embed tape in compound. Let dry.
3. Apply coat of compound over taped area. Let dry and apply second coat. Sand and prime when dry.

To repair large

1. Trim any loose material and wipe clean. Apply compound to crack using knife.

2. Embed paper joint tape in compound to bridge crack. Draw knife firmly over crack to tightly embed tape.

3. Apply compound over tape with knife. Let dry and apply second coat if necessary. Sand and prime when dry.

Sanding

Sand with a wet sponge to eliminate dust and scuffing of paper. After compound feels dry, wring out only enough
water from sponge to eliminate dripping, rub joints gently with a sweeping motion to remove high spots. Clean
sponge often. If dry sanding, use 150-grit sandpaper, 220-grit abrasive mesh cloth or finer.

All surfaces must be dry, dust-free and not glossy. Apply prime coat of S

latex flat wall paint with high solids content before painting or texturing. Strictly follow directions of painting and
decorating material manufacturers.

Drying Time

At 75 °F/50% R.H., allow approx. 24 hr. between applications.

Cleanup

Wash tools with warm, soapy water and wipe dry.
