Installing the Drive Using
the Gasket Kit

To install the gasket, follow these steps:

1. Reference the appropriate dimension drawing for your drive (

Figure 1

through

Figure 4

) and cut out the heatsink area.

2. Drill the mounting holes.

3. Clean and file the surface area to remove any burrs or sharp edges.

4. Use paint to touch up all raw metal edges.

5. Verify that the drive chassis surface is clean.

6. Place the gasket (gasket paper intact) around the cutout area on the inside

of the enclosure and align/verify the mounting holes. The gasket holes
are not equally spaced.

7. Peel away the gasket paper.

8. With the adhesive facing the chassis surface, align the mounting holes

and firmly press the gasket in place.

9. Install the drive in the enclosure using the supplied (or recommended)

mounting screws. The screws should be inserted through the drive
chassis to the outside of the enclosure.

10.Torque all mounting screws to 2.9 N-m (26 lb.-in.).
