Adjusting Laser Spot Size
The 45MLD allows the user to adjust the diameter of the laser
beam in order to sense targets as small as 0.5mm in
dimension.
To adjust the spot size turn the “adjustable lens” clockwise or
counterclockwise until suitable spot size is acquired (see
illustration below).

Adjusting Sensing Distance
The optical principle is based on triangulation.To adjust the
sensing distance simply turn the adjustment screw clockwise
to increase or counterclockwise to decrease the sensing
distance. The sensing range for this sensor is 50mm to
300mm (see below).
