How to Install Control Modules

To avoid personal injury or property

damage, de–energize both line and control

power connected to the Bulletin 500LC

Lighting Contactor before proceeding.

Recommended Tools

Screwdriver, needle–nose pliers

1. Open circuit breakers, then use a voltmeter to verify no voltage is present at

both control and line terminal screws.

2. Label, disconnect, and tape all wires (control, line, load) from the lighting

contactor.

3. The control module can be mounted to the Bulletin 500LC Lighting

Contactor on the bottom or right side depending on the number of poles:
2–...6–poles, bottom mounting
Mount the control module at the base of the lighting contactor. Install the

screws supplied with control module in outer holes (in legs) of module. Use

the inner holes on the contactor frame. Tighten the screws evenly to 5 in–lbs.

Refer to Figure 1.

Do not overtighten the mounting screws !

8–...12–poles, side mounting
Mount the control module (tabs) on the right side of the lighting contactor

with the two contact block screws. Loosen the two existing screws on the right

side of the upper and lower contact blocks. Back out the screws to clear the

cut outs in the contact blocks so that the module’s mounting tabs can be

inserted. Retighten the two screws (through the module’s mounting tabs) to

10 in–lbs. Refer to Figure 2.
