INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Packaging: standard packaging is provided for each circuit-breaker that ensu-
res protection in the normal transport and storage conditions unless specified
otherwise in the order.
Inspection before putting into service:
a) carry out a visual check that the unit is in good condition, on the
connections made and on the protection settings;
b) check that the unit is working correctly by performing a few operations befo-
re switching in the load: opening, closing, relay tripped.
Don’t hesitate to contact ROCKWELL AUTOMATION for any further information
you may require.
Maintenance:
IMPORTANT NOTE!!: you must proceed as follows before carrying out any
maintenance operations:
1) Turn the circuit-breaker in Off position.
2) Switch off the power to the circuit-breaker (power circuit and
auxiliary circuits).
3) Disconnect the circuit-breaker from the installation, removing it from the
switchboard if it is in a version that allows you to do so.
Carry out the following operations at least once a year in normal operating
conditions or otherwise every six months, and under all circumstances after
tripping due to a short circuit.
– remove any dust or smoke marks using clean dry rags.
– perform a few opening, closing and relay-tripped operations to check the
circuit-breaker is working correctly before switching in the load.
– make sure the connections and the unit’s mounting screws are
tightened correctly.

damage to property resulting from a failure to comply with the instructions set
out in this document.
The operations for the installation, putting into service and routine and emer-
gency maintenance of the unit must be performed by qualified personnel with a
detailed knowledge of the unit.
ISTRUZIONI PER L’INSTALLAZIONE E LA MANUTENZIONE
Imballo: per ogni interruttore è previsto un imballo standard, che garantisce
la protezione nelle condizioni normali di trasporto e immagazzinaggio se non
definite diversamente nell’ordine di Fornitura.
Ispezione prima della messa in servizio:
a) verificare visivamente l’integrità dell’apparecchio, i collegamenti
realizzati e le regolazioni delle protezioni;
b) verificare la funzionalità dell’apparecchio, effettuando alcune manovre senza
inserire il carico: apertura, chiusura, scattato relè.
Per qualsiasi esigenza contattare ROCKWELL AUTOMATION.
Manutenzione:
ATTENZIONE ATTENZIONE !!: prima di eseguire qualsiasi operazione di
manutenzione è obbligatorio:
1) Portare l’interruttore in posizione di aperto.
2) Togliere tensione all’interruttore (circuito di potenza e circuiti ausiliari).
3) Staccare l’interruttore dall’impianto, rimuovendolo dal quadro se
in esecuzione che lo consenta.
Eseguire le seguenti operazioni almeno una volta all’anno in condizioni di
esercizio normali, altrimenti ogni sei mesi e comunque dopo intervento per
corto circuito:
– eliminare polvere o nero fumo con stracci asciutti e puliti.
– senza inserire il carico, eseguire alcune manovre di apertura, chiusura,
scattato relè verificando il corretto funzionamento dell’interruttore.
– verificare il corretto serraggio delle connessioni e delle viti di
fissaggio dell’apparecchio.

persone dovute alla mancata osservanza delle istruzioni contenute in questo
documento.
Le operazioni di installazione, messa in servizio ed eventuale manutenzione
ordinaria e straordinaria devono essere effettuate da personale qualificato, che
abbia una conoscenza dettagliata dell’apparecchiatura.

Verpackung: Für jeden Leistungsschalter ist eine Standardverpackung vor-
gesehen, die vorbehaltlich anders lautender Angaben in der bestellung den
Schutz bei den normalen Transport- und Lagerbedingungen gewährleistet.
Inspektion vor der Inbetriebnahme:
a) das Gerät auf Schäden sichtkontrollieren und die hergestellten
Verbindungen sowie die Einstellungen der Schutzeinrichtungen prüfen;
b) eine Funktionsprüfung des Geräts durchführen; hierzu einige Schaltungen
ausführen, ohne die Last zuzuschalten: Öffnen, Schließen, Relais-Auslösung.
INSTRUCTIONS POUR L’INSTALLATION ET L’ENTRETIEN
Emballage: un emballage standard est prévu pour chaque disjoncteur; cet
emballage garantit la protection dans les conditions normales de transport
et de stockage, si ces conditions ne sont pas définies différemment dans la
commande de fourniture.
Inspection avant la mise en service:
a) vérifier visuellement l’intégrité de l’appareil, les raccordements
effectués et les réglages des protections;
b) vérifier la fonctionnalité de l’appareil, en effectuant quelques
manoeuvres sans brancher la charge: ouverture, fermeture, relais déclenché.
Pour toute exigence, contacter ROCKWELL AUTOMATION.
Entretien:
ATTENTION ATTENTION !!: avant d’effectuer toute opération d’entretien, il est
obligatoire:
1) Déclancher le disjoncteur.
2) De couper la tension du disjoncteur (circuit de puissance et circuits
auxiliaires)
3) De débrancher le disjoncteur de l’installation, en le retirant du tableau, si sa
version le permet.
Effectuer les opérations suivantes au moins une fois par an si les conditions de
service sont normales, sinon tous les six mois et dans tous les cas après un
déclenchement pour court-circuit
– éliminer la poussière ou le noir de fumée avec des chiffons secs et
propres.
– sans brancher la charge, effectuer quelques manoeuvres d’ouverture, de fer-
meture, de relais déclenché en vérifiant le bon fonctionnement du disjoncteur.
– vérifier le serrage correct des connexions et des vis de fixation de
l’appareil .
ROCKWELL AUTOMATION décline toute responsabilité en cas de dommages
causés
à des personnes ou des biens dus au non-respect des instructions contenues
dans ce document.
Les opérations d’installation, de mise en service et, éventuellement, d’entretien
ordinaire et extraordinaire doivent être effectuées par du personnel qualifié,
ayant une connaissance approfondie de l’appareillage.
Wartung:
ACHTUNG ACHTUNG !! Vor Ausführung eines beliebigen Wartungseingriffs
sind obligatorisch folgende Maßnahmen zu treffen:
1) Den Leistungsschalter ausschalten.
2) Das Schaltgerät stromlos machen (Hauptstromkreis und Hilfsstromkreise).
3) Das Schaltgerät von der Anlage trennen; es hierzu aus der Schaltanlage
ausbauen, sofern die Ausführung dies zulässt.
Die nachstehenden Vorgänge bei normalen Betriebsbedingungen mindestens
einmal jährlich ausführen; andernfalls alle sechs Monate und in jedem Fall
nach einer Auslösung wegen Kurzschluss.
– Staub und Ruß mit einem trockenen und sauberen Tuch entfernen.
– Ohne die Last zuzuschalten, einige Schaltungen zum Öffnen,
Schließen und Auslösen des Relais ausführen, um sicherzustellen,
dass das Schaltgerät einwandfrei funktioniert.
– Den Festsitz der Verbindungen und der Befestigungsschrauben des
Geräts kontrollieren.
ROCKWELL AUTOMATION haftet nicht für Schäden an Sachen oder Personen
aufgrund der Missachtung der in der vorliegenden Veröffentlichung enthaltenen
Anweisungen.
Die Arbeiten für die Installation, Inbetriebnahme, Wartung und Instandsetzung
müssen von Fachpersonal ausgeführt werden, das über eine eingehende
Kenntnis des Geräts verfügt.

Embalaje: para cada interruptor se ha previsto un embalaje estándar que
garantiza la protección en las condiciones normales de transporte y
almacenamiento, a menos que se solicite diversamente en el pedido.
Inspección antes de la puesta en servicio:
a) controlar, visualmente, la integridad del aparato, las conexiones
efectuadas y la regulación de las protecciones;
b) controlar la funcionalidad del aparato efectuando algunas maniobras sin
activar la carga: apertura, cierre, disparo del relé.
Para cualquier exigencia ponerse en contacto con ROCKWELL AUTOMATION.
Mantenimiento:
¡ATENCIÓN!: antes de efectuar cualquier operación de mantenimiento es
obligatorio:
1) Poner el interruptor en posiciòn abierta.
2) Quitar la tensión al interruptor (circuito de potencia y circuitos auxiliares).
3) Desenchufar el interruptor de la instalación, quitándolo del cuadro
si su ejecución lo permite.
