Installing Your IP67 Cable Seals
Installing your seals consists of:
•
Preparing your motor connectors
•
Mounting the components of the cable seal kit
•
Reconnecting the motor
Preparing Your Motor Connectors
To prepare your motor connectors for mounting the components of the
cable seal kit:
1. Remove the cables attached to the power input and the resolver or
encoder output.
2. Remove the o-rings from the input and output connectors.
Note:
Because an inner lip on the inside surface of the new seal
fits inside the o-ring groove on the connector, you will no
longer need these o-rings.
3. Remove the eight screws and washers that fasten the input and
output connectors to the motor housing.
Note:
You will no longer need these screws and washers.
!
ATTENTION: To avoid a shock hazard, remove power to
the motor controller and motor before installing your IP67
cable seals. Failure to do this can cause personal injury.
