Add, Configure, Monitor, and Replace CIP Safety I/O

Scenario 1 - Replacement Module is Out-of-box and Safety Signature Exists
1.
Remove the old I/O module and install the new module.
2.
Right-click the replacement POINT Guard I/O module and choose
Properties.
3.
Click
to the right of the safety network number to open the Safety
Network Number dialog box.
4.
Click Set.
5.
Verify that the Network Status (NS) status indicator is alternating
red/green on the correct module before clicking Yes on the confirmation
dialog box to set the SNN and accept the replacement module.
6.
Follow your company-prescribed procedures to functionally test the
replaced I/O module and system and to authorize the system for use.
