The minimum memory size is 8MB (two 4MB SIMMs) for both
boards. The maximum memory size is 256MB (four 64MB SIMMs)
for Pentium II boards and 128MB (four 32MB SIMMs) for Pentium
boards. Four SIMM sockets are arranged in two banks of two
sockets.

Both parity and non–parity SIMMs are supported. If exclusively
parity SIMMs are installed in the system, the user can configure one
of several memory error-detection modes within the CMOS setup
utility. The options are “Disabled” (BIOS default), “Parity,” and
“ECC.” These modes are described in the table below.

NOTE: If any non–parity SIMMs are added, system parity is
disabled for all banks (even if one bank contains parity SIMMs).
