Installing the DC Suppressor

1. Remove the Lexan shield from the new DC suppressor.

2. Disconnect the PE lead from the new DC suppressor (unless the exist-

ing PE lead in the RGU is damaged). Remove the old lead if it is dam-
aged.

3. Position the DC suppressor and mount it to the panel with the four

mounting screws. Torque to 10 lb-ft. If installing a new PE lead, route
the lead through the wire bundle and secure it to the PE busbar.

4. Connect the bus leads and PE ground lead.

5. Secure the Lexan shield to the DC suppressor.

Concluding Steps

After installing the DC suppressor, remove all tools and debris from the
RGU; secure the bay door; and dispose of old parts according to your
company’s procedures and local ordinances.
