Using the Triangulation
Function

Triangulation solutions are easy when using
NautiCalc Plus.

By entering your course,

bearings and the distance traveled between
bearings, you can determine the distance
from the object and the distance Abeam.
Course and bearings 1 and 2 may be
entered as either decimal degrees or as
degree:minute:seconds. The value for
“Course” can be entered by entering the
value and pressing

[Course°]

.

The value

is permanent until revised or

[Conv] [x]

is pressed to perform an “All Clear.”
The distance from the bearing object can
be found by pressing the

[Dist]

key twice
