Incorrect Installations
This mounting kit is designed specifi cally to be used to install the Watts Model A2C-M1 IntelliFlow™
automatic washing machine shutoff valve.
Important Cautions!
1. This kit contains parts to simplify installation of the Watts IntelliFlow Model A2C-M1. If you are not familiar with piping procedures,
we recommend you contact a licensed plumbing contractor to install the Watts A2C-M1 Intellifl ow.
2. Prior to beginning installation, read all instructions to familiarize yourself with the components of this kit and the assembly pro-
cedures.
3. Additional CPVC tubing, elbows, or fi ttings may be required to complete your particular installation. You can obtain those items
at your local hardware store or lumber yard.
Note: The Union tailpieces supplied with the Intellifl ow are not required when the adapters are used.
Installing the A2C-M1 IntelliFlow Automatic Washing Machine Shutoff Valve
1. Plan where you want to locate the IntelliFlow A2C-M1 and how you want to pipe it in prior to starting the actual
installation. This will help you avoid problems later in the process. Refer below to Figure A for typical piping
arrangements. Caution! In all cases, be sure the Intelliflow A2C-M1 or piping does not obstruct the washing machine
drain tube as shown in Figures B and C.
2. Shut off water supply to the washing machine shutoff valves.
3. Noting their hot and cold water position, disconnect the washing machine hoses from the shutoff valves.
