Remove Old Tie Rods
Raise planter.
(A height where you can access the center steering
arm and also be able to operate the drill comfortably
in a standing position at the caster arm.)
2.
Remove cotter pin
(not visible in photo) and cas-
tle nut
holding tie rod end to caster weldment
.
The nut and pin are not reused.

Remove the cotter pin
and castle nut
attaching
each tie rod end to the center steering arm
weldment

4.
Remove both right and left tie rods, these are not
reused.
5.
Measure center to center length of old tie rods to set
new tie rods to length, see “Install New Tie Rods”
on page 14.
