The
standard
USB
bus
power
can
be
used
in
some
configurations
to
power
the
Combo
II
Drive.
For
maximum
performance
in
all
configurations,
the
recommendation
is
to
use
the
supplied
power
adapter.
Note:
In
this
configuration,
the
drive
may
draw
more
power
from
the
USB
bus
than
is
permitted
by
the
USB
standard.

Connecting
the
Combo
II
Drive
using
configuration
2
To
connect
the
Combo
II
Drive
to
your
system,
complete
the
following
procedure.
Refer
to
during
installation.
1.
Turn
on
your
computer.
2.
Insert
the
cable
plug

into
the
USB
connector
of
the
drive.
3.
Plug
the
standard
USB
connector
2
into
the
USB
port
of
your
computer.
