Preparing

Drive
Before
using
the
Combo
II
Drive,
follow
the
procedure
below:
1.
Make
sure
the
Combo
II
Drive
is
properly
connected
to
your
ThinkPad
computer.
2.
Check
the
locations
of
the
functions
on
the
Combo
II
Drive
(refer
to
the
figures
below).
3.
Insert
the
USB
2.0
CD-RW/DVD-ROM
Combo
II
Drive
Software
and
User’s
Guide
Super
CD
that
was
shipped
with
this
option
to
install
the
CD-R/CD-RW
writing
software
or
DVD
read
software.
4.
Double-click
on
the
application
you
want
and
follow
the
instructions
on
the
screen.
5.
Check
that
the
drive
operates
normally
and
keep
the
enclosed
warranty
in
a
safe
place
after
filling
it
in.
Following
are
the
locations
of
the
functions
on
the
Combo
II
Drive:

Power/Busy
indicator
The
green
LED
indicates
the
power
status
and
the
operation
states
of
the
drive.
v
LED
is
on:
during
data
read
or
seek
v
LED
blinks
slowly:
during
data
write
v
LED
blinks
quickly:
during
disc
recognition
v
LED
is
off:
when
the
drive
is
not
being
accessed
(even
though
it
may
be
connected
to
your
system)
