Do
not
use
solvents
to
clean
the
disc
surface.
When
labeling
a
disc,
write
only
on
the
printed
label
side
or
the
cartridge
using
a
soft
felt-tip
marker.
Keep
out
of
direct
sunlight,
high
temperatures,
and
humidity.
Do
not
attach
labels
to
either
side
of
the
disc.
Using
the
drive
with
CDs
and
DVDs
Complete
the
following
procedure
to
read
a
data
disc:
1.
Turn
on
the
computer.
2.
Press
the
Eject
button
on
the
top
of
the
drive.
3.
Insert
a
disc
in
the
tray
with
the
label
facing
up.
4.
Close
the
drive
by
gently
closing
the
tray.
5.
Wait
for
the
drive
busy
indicator
to
stop
blinking
and
turn
off.
6.
Double-click
the
CD-ROM
or
DVD-RAM/DVD-R/DVD-RW
icon.
Using
the
CD-R
and
CD-RW
function
The
Combo
II
Drive
can
write
to
both
CD-R
and
CD-RW
discs.
CD-R
discs
cannot
be
erased,
but
can
be
used
with
standard
CD-ROM
drives
and
CD
players.
You
can
use
CD-R
discs
to
record
audio
tracks,
store
data,
archive
files,
and
copy
files
from
another
CD.
CD-RW
discs
can
be
erased
and
rewritten,
but
can
be
used
only
with
newer
CD-RW-compatible
CD-ROM
and
DVD-ROM
drives.
You
can
use
CD-RW
discs
to
back
up,
store,
and
update
files
or
to
copy
files
from
another
CD.
Notes:
1.
CD-R
discs
are
playable
on
audio
CD
players.
CD-RW
discs
are
not
playable
on
most
audio
CD
players.
2.
The
software
included
with
this
drive
does
not
enable
the
drive
CD-recording
capabilities
with
DOS,
Windows
3.x,
or
IBM
OS/2
®
operating
systems.

Using
the
DVD+R,
DVD+R
DL,
DVD+RW,
DVD-R,
DVD-R
DL,
DVD-RW,
and
DVD-RAM
functions
(read
only)
The
Combo
II
Drive
can
read
DVD+R,
DVD+RW,
DVD-R,
DVD-RW,
and
DVD-RAM
discs.
Reading
DVD+R
DL
and
DVD-R
DL
discs
is
not
guaranteed.
Creating
CD
images
and
disc
copies
Use
the
Multimedia
center
for
Think
Offerings
to
make
copies
and
save
images
of
your
CDs.
You
can
also
create
CDs
from
images
that
have
saved
to
your
hard
drive.
To
make
a
CD
image:
1.
Start
the
Multimedia
Center
for
Think
Offerings.
2.
Select
the
Copy
page.
3.
Select
the
task,
Save
the
image
to
hard
drive.
4.
Give
the
image
a
file
name.
A
random
file
is
created.
