RAM Disk

NOTE:

RAM Disk feature is available only when the optional 512 MB memory module is installed on the printer.

NOTE:

RAM Disk feature is not available when the optional hard disk is installed.

Purpose:
To allocate memory to the RAM disk file system for the Secure Print, Private Mail Box Print, Public Mail Box Print,

and Proof Print features. The change becomes effective after the printer is turned off and then on again.
Values:

Restart your printer when you change the settings for the

RAM Disk

menu.

Substitute Tray

Purpose:
Specifies whether to use paper of a different size when the paper that is loaded in the specified tray does not match

the paper size settings for the current job.
Values:

Set Available Time

Purpose:
Sets the available time for the Print function.
Values:

NOTE:

Set Available Time can be configured when Print is set to On.

Secure Job Expiration

NOTE:

Secure Job Expiration feature is available only when RAM Disk is set to Enable or when the optional hard disk is

installed.

This item is available only when the optional 550-sheet feeder is installed.

Off

Does not allocate memory to the RAM disk file system. Secure Print, Private Mail Box Print,

Public Mail Box Print, and Proof Print jobs will abort and be recorded to the job log.

Larger Size

Substitutes paper of next largest size. When there is no larger paper size, the printer substitutes paper of

nearest size.

Substitutes paper from the MPF.

Sets the time when printing is available.

Start Time

Sets the start time of the available time.

End Time

Sets the end time of the available time.

Sets the day of the week to repeat the setting.
