This chapter provides information about deploying the Dell DR2000v on Microsoft Hyper-V.

Before you begin the deployment process, ensure you have met the prerequisites described in the topic, Prerequisites
for the Dell DR2000v on Microsoft Hyper-V.
The deployment process comprises the following tasks:

Deploying the DR2000v on one of the following:
•
On a Local Hyper-V Host
•
On a Remote Hyper-V Host
2.
Setting up and Configuring the DR2000v
3.
Registering the DR2000v with a Physical DR Series System
Prerequisites for the Dell DR2000v on Microsoft Hyper-V
To deploy the Dell DR2000v on Microsoft Hyper-V and to use the DR2000v Hyper-V cmdlets, ensure that the following
prerequisites are met.

Windows Remote Management (WinRM) v2.0
WinRM is the Microsoft implementation of the WS-Management Protocol. It uses Simple Object Access Protocol
(SOAP) over HTTP and HTTPS. For remote operations, port 5985 must be enabled on the Windows Firewall for
