The appearance of the thermal cooling assembly may differ based on

your computer model.

Replacing the Thermal Cooling Assembly

NOTE:

The original thermal grease can be reused if the original processor and

thermal cooling assembly are reinstalled together. If either the processor or the

thermal cooling assembly is replaced, use the thermal pad provided in the kit to

ensure that thermal conductivity is achieved.

Procedure

1 Clean the thermal grease from the bottom of the thermal cooling

assembly and reapply it.

2 Align the captive screws on the thermal cooling assembly with the screw

holes on the system board and tighten the screws in sequential order

(indicated on the thermal cooling assembly).
