Slide the Media Card Reader cable into the connector on the system board and
press down on the connector latch to secure the cable.

Connect the display cable to the connector on the system board and adhere the
tape that secures the cable to the system board.

Connect the power-adapter port cable, fan cable, and speakers cable to the
connectors on the system board.

9

Align the screw holes on the power-adapter port bracket with the screw holes on
the computer base.

10

Replace the screws that secure the power-adapter port bracket to the computer
base.

Replace the palm rest. See "Replacing the Palm Rest" on page 31.

Replace the keyboard. See "Replacing the Keyboard" on page 16.

Follow the instructions from step 4 to step 5 in "Replacing the Optical Drive" on
page 26.

Entering the Service Tag in the BIOS

1

Turn on the computer.

Press <F2> during POST to enter the system setup program.

Navigate to the main tab and enter the Service Tag in the Service Tag Setting field.
