4. Lift up to remove the keyboard trim from the computer.

1. Align the keyboard trim to its slot.
2. Press along the sides of the keyboard trim until it clicks in place.

b. base cover
c. keyboard trim
3. Perform the following steps as shown in the illustration:
a. Lift the battery bay [1].
b. Lift the tab [2].
c. Disconnect the keyboard-backlight cable [3].
