Replacing the Power-Adapter Port

Procedure

1

Align the screw hole on the power-adapter port with the screw hole on the
palm-rest assembly.

2

Replace the screw that secures the power-adapter port to the palm-rest assembly.

3

Slide the power-adapter port under the wireless-card cables and route the
power-adapter port cable through the routing guides on the fan.

4

Connect the power-adapter port cable to the system board.

5

Route the wireless-card cables and the touchscreen cable through the routing
guide on the display hinge.

Postrequisites

1

Replace the battery. See "Replacing the Battery" on page 15.

Connect the power-light board cable to the system board. See "Replacing the
Power-Light Board" on page 13.

3

Replace the base cover. See "Replacing the Base Cover" on page 11.
