Playing a CD in a car

You can play a CD in a car, using your Discman on car battery.
You can also use it on house current, rechargeable battery and dry

batteries (see "Power sources" on the reverse side.)

When using the unit on the AC power
adaptor or car battery, the display and
buttons are illuminated during play so

The display and the buttons are also

illuminated for about one minute in lh<
following cases:

adaptor or car battery cord

• When you open the lid of the unit
• When you stop play by pres-sing ■
• When the CD fihishes playing.
If you want to turn off ffw illumirtation

right away, press ■.

Note on Illumination
When using the' unit on the AC power
adaptor, illumination of the display ano
the buttons may become dim during AN
operation, etc., but this is rwt a
malfunction of the unit.

• To keep the CD clean, handle it by its

edge. Do not touch the surface.

• Do not stick paper or tape onto the Cl
